Compositor:

Nino Rota,John Williams,Ennio Morricone: the best composers actually in the world.

Nino rota is dead in 1979, so only williams and Morricone are still there !
08/07/2017 steicatsy78
ok,Beethoven too he's dead on 1827 and with Bach and Mozart together they are the most important composers in our history.About film music remain my opinion.....
08/07/2017 martyprod2
i thought you were talking about composers still alive, not musicians since life exist on this planet.

But the "best" in music has no real sense. reducing the importance of music to bach mozart, bethooven, williams, morricone and rota
is very "reducing". You forget a lot of people ! ;)

I don't want to step on others toes, or say things others have already said about John.   John Williams IS what others have already said; a great composer and has an understanding of what life should be like,  John sees this, in his music he shares.    I can only wish I had his talent, and wisdom with  his understanding about music.

I'm from the UK. I was a child in 1963  but I remember the day of the assassination. JFK had his faults as we all do but in the opinion of many here the two worst & most corrupt presidents succeeded him ie. LBJ & 'Tricky Dicky'!

Bravo, bravo, bravo, Maestro Williams. Musical emotion doesn't get better than that. We weren't there to see and hear Beethoven or Mozart perform their music live in their days, but we can say we were there to have been contemporaries of John Williams, the greatest living (and one day immortal) composer.

I'm French and I really love this movie. I've always been attracted by the U.S., for many reasons; some of my cousins even live in California. Every time my parents and I talk about this tragic 11/22/1963 (they were both aged 14), they tell me: "We were all shocked. It shaked the whole world"; my mom adding: "the day after, on the way to school, we were all crying. We couldn't believe it"... There are many things we forget in life, as we get older. But my parents never forgot this day of November 1963. Now I'm 32, and I can say I remember exactly how the day ended when I saw on TV what had happened in the U.S. in the morning of 9/11. These are details, images, sounds, emotions you just cannot forget.
So, thank you Mr. Stone for making such a great movie.

+Mary Schultz I could not agree more!! To think of all the wonderful scores Mr. Williams has come up with for so many movies through the years.. JFK, ET, Jaws, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Close Encounters, Star Wars, Superman, Home Alone, etc. John Williams' music is a gift to the world and we should all praise him and appreciate his work.

Was this score at all inspired by Taxi Driver? The motorcade music, when I hear it performed like this, makes me think of the scenes where he's working out in the apartment.

So clever putting the melody amongst all that dissonance. It's the sound of heroism being murdered. John Williams is ridiculously talented.

yes..Tim Morrison..John Williams #1 guy when he writes trumpet solos or for recordings. I think he is with the Boston Symphony here, which Morrison was a former member of and then moved on to studio playing for movies and such out here in LA.

" Stone knew that most people are lazy and wouldn't check on the historical accuracy of the film" Yep sure knew people are lazy alright, just like your brain. "The film is filled with outright lies and flagrant distortions" Obviously, you've confused the film with the Warren Report. Stone claimed many times that the events portrayed in the film regarding the actual shooting were speculation. "JFK" is the alternate myth to the Warren Report myth, as Stone has made clear countless times. DOUCHE

Unfortunately, too many people watched the film and thought it was a historical documentary even though Oliver Stone said it wasn't. However, Stone knew that most people are lazy and wouldn't check on the historical accuracy of the film. They find it much easier to consider the film as truthful in intent where Stone is allowed to have some latitude to advance the story. Baloney! The film is filled with outright lies and flagrant distortions that far exceed creative "latitudes".

Yeah Awesome soundtrack. Nicely made movie but unfortunately it's full of lies and obvious omissions, like one eyewitness sees 2 men run from the Tippit murder but how about the 10 eyewitnesses who saw Oswald??? And many more people heard shots from the Book Depository but you wouldn't know from watching the JFK movie.
